Suppliers are invited by the Public Trustee of Queensland (QPT) to submit a proposal PTO202404 for the provision of providing general insurance coverage for QPT’s customers.
The Public Trustee has a responsibility as trustee to their customers to insure customer assets. In some cases, QPT is the trustee and is named on the policy in addition to the customer. For clarity purposes QPT is the client (has the direct relationship with the supplier) and is the corporate entity. Customer means QPT’s customer (policy holder) who QPT is appointed to manage their assets and affairs. It is envisioned that QPT will have an agreement with the insurance provider/broker however the customer will be the named insured in most cases.
The types of insurance coverage required, but not limited to, are:
- House and/or home and contents (chattels) insurance (occupied and unoccupied)
- Vehicle insurance including cars, motorbikes, caravans and other recreational vehicles or similar assets
- Farm or commercial equipment
- Public Liability
- Vacant land
The following is out-of-scope for this RFP:
- Health, life or funeral insurance
- Pet insurance
- Domestic workers insurance
