The proposed procurement activity is to provide Fire Trail Construction services within Mt Kaputar National Park.

Project goals

The objective is to renew and upgrade Fire trails within Mt Kaputar National Park to meet NSW Rural Fire Service Certification and minimise the risk of future erosion and repairs following extreme weather events.

Scope

The purpose of this RFT is to obtain quotations and engage contractor/s to provide material, labour, plant, and equipment and undertake fire trail renewal (under DRFA) and upgrade activities in accordance with the NSW Road Fire Services Fire Trail Standards and provided documentation. 

The types of activities covered by this RFT include: 

• Vegetation management 
• Completion, upgrade and renewal of the trail carriageway 
• Drainage improvement works, such as repair and construction of rollovers, repair and cleaning of culvert pipes, mitre drains, spoon drains, erosion control measures, repair and armouring of bed level crossings.
• Establishment of turnarounds and passing bays 
• Transport of quarried rock and gravel material 
• Other activities related to trail construction and maintenance
