Tender Description
In order for Port Stephens Council (Council) to successfully complete its Environmental Operations programs, it requires the services of specialist contractors with the capacity and expertise to provide biosecurity and invasive species management, vegetation management and restoration services.
Works included but not limited to:
- Control and eradicate priority weeds and pest species per the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015 and relevant Biosecurity Orders
- Implementation of surveillance and monitoring programs for emerging biosecurity threats
- Reporting and compliance with the General Biosecurity Duty (GBD)
- Development and execution of integrated pest management strategies
- Bushland regeneration, weed control, and habitat restoration
- Revegetation works, including the planting of native species in accordance with ecological restoration principles
- Erosion control and sediment management to protect sensitive habitats
- Data collection and reporting to support regulatory compliance with the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015 and related environmental legislation
- Submission of work reports, including photographic evidence and GIS data where applicable
Following the assessment of tender submissions, the Council will form a panel of service providers who satisfy the requirements of this specification and the Contract documents and offer to supply the items and services specified within the schedule of rates.
