Open Data Hub managed services and support. TfNSW seeks a supplier to manage and support the Open Data Hub for a period of up to five years (3+1+1)

Project goals

The TfNSW Open Data Hub and API Gateway provides open access to transport data and insights across public transport, roads, maritime and active transport. Users include third party app developers, internal systems, researchers, media, and members of the public. There have been over 27 billion API calls to the API Gateway since April 2016 to date, with 50,000 active user accounts and over 10,000 registered applications. Providing customers with up to date and reliable information through a range of channels is a critical element of the delivery of transport services and one of the key drivers of customer satisfaction.

An external party currently manages and supports the Open Data Hub. As the contract nears expiry, the goals of this procurement project are to seek value for money offers to secure services of an external party to manage and support the Open Data Hub for up to the next five-year period.

Scope

The following services are in scope:

- managed services and software support services, including level 2 and 3 support for the Open Data Hub platform which is hosted on 4 AWS subscriptions and 2 Azure subscriptions

- Non-production support services

- 24/7 hours of support

- Documentation expertise

- Development services and software services

- Regular reporting
