Main Contractor for Reroofing at Newlands College

Overview: This project includes remedial works to roofing outside its serviceable life; corroded roof fixings, replacing corrugated roofing sheets and non-trafficable translucent sheets, repitching of a steel roof and repairs to a membrane roof.

Outcome sought: The project aims to ensure essential infrastructure remains reliable and weathertight, by replacing roofing elements nearing or past the end of their lifespan. This in turn improves the learning environment for ākonga (students) and te aka (teachers).

Phasing: The project is to be completed in two phases as follows:

• Phase 1 – Term 3 Holidays, 22 Sept – 3 October 2025 C2, D, D2, C Storage
• Phase 2 – Christmas holidays, 1 December 2025 – 6 February 2026 B1, C, GM
