The City seeks a suitable contractor to provide a collection and or processing service for an initial period of two (2) years, with a further three (3) x 12-month (or part thereof) extensions at the City’s discretion.

The process will seek submissions for the provision of collection and or processing mattresses. All pricing is to be based on ‘per item’. In 2023, approximately 9,000 mattresses were collected. Collection will be required over 5-days of the week, 3-working days’ notice will be provided prior to collection.

Each City of Wanneroo residential property, paying a waste service fee, has an allowance for three (3) mattresses to be collected. The bulk waste shall be collected from the verges of properties with an entitlement to the service within the City of Wanneroo. Additionally, ad hoc collections are to be made from nominated sites including illegal dumping.
