Tender Description

Whitsunday Regional Council (the Principal) requires the design, supply, construction and commissioning of a new Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Lake Proserpine Camping Reserve, 66 Station Road, Proserpine Qld 4800 (Camping Reserve) (Works).

The Works must comply with Environmental Authority P-EA-1001127979, Appendix C.

The Works include the supply of all design, labour, materials, and plant to complete the Works.

The Works will be conducted in two Separable Portions:

Separable Portion 1:

a) The removal and disposal of all existing STP plant and equipment, except for the two treated effluent tanks; and

b) The removal and disposal of all existing effluent disposal material in the effluent disposal area.

Separable Portion 2:

a) The supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a new STP;

b) Design supply, install and commission and new Control; and

c) The supply, installation and commissioning of a new effluent disposal system.

Please note: The awarding of this Tender is subject to budget and funding approval.

Council currently has a Tender which has been released separately via eTenderbox (https://whitsunday.etenderbox.com.au) for a project of similar nature at the Whitsunday Coast Airport, Lascelles Avenue, Gunyarra, Qld 4800, (500.2025.0004 Whitsunday Coast Airport Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) - Design and Construct). Council will consider any cost saving alternative proposals to complete both projects; however, they must accompany a conforming submission for each Tender, in accordance with Clause 15.

Council will be holding a Mandatory Site Tender Briefing on Wednesday, 30th April 2025 at 10.00 am (AEST).

The location of the meeting is Lake Proserpine Camping Reserve, 66 Station Road, Proserpine Queensland 4800.

PPE is a requirement to attend this site, at a minimum hi-vis and steel cap boots, it is also recommended to wear sun protection.
