Project goals
Examine the factors, behaviours and circumstances that surrounded the suicide-related deaths of NSW young people aged 10-17 who identified as LGBTIQ+, to gain a greater understanding of these deaths, and identify ways to prevent or reduce the likelihood of future deaths. A full list of objectives are listed in the Request for Proposal document.
Scope
The scope of the overall research is to review the suicide-related deaths of young people in NSW who identified as LGBTIQ+. The scope of this RFP is limited to a literature review of effective preventative measures and protective factors for LGBTIQ+ young people, and a desktop review of existing countermeasures to support LGBTIQ+ young people in NSW.
