The contractor will provide all materials, labour, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the works to a professional standard. All installations and finishes must comply with relevant regulations.

Project goals

These upgrades will significantly enhance the comfort, usability, and visual appeal of the visitor centre for all users, including staff, tour groups, trainers, and the public. The refurbishment ensures the building remains functional, inviting, and serviceable for many more years.

Scope

• Full removal and replacement of existing deteriorated external cladding with durable, modern cladding to enhance the building’s weather resistance and appearance.

• Installation of new external windows to improve natural light, energy efficiency, and ventilation.

• Removal of old ceiling fans and lights, with installation of new, energy-efficient models to ensure better lighting and airflow throughout the centre.

• Internal painting of all walls and ceilings to freshen and modernise the interior environment.

• Refurbishment and upgrade of the kitchenette area to provide a clean, functional space for public use or education program support.

• Kitchen upgrade in the office/staff area, including new cabinetry, fixtures, and appliances to improve amenities for staff.

• Safe and environmentally responsible disposal of all removed materials.
