The Northern Territory Committee is seeking Expressions of Interest for 2 x Adult Medicine Division Representatives for a three-year term from 2025 to 2028.

There are 2 Representative position available for the Adult Medicine Division on the NT Committee.

2 x ADM Representatives needed for the NT Committee.

The Committee represents the interests of College members in NT, ensuring their perspectives are reflected in College activities and governance. Its functions are to:

• advocate for and lead the development of NT based policy priorities
• facilitate effective connections with NT governments and advocate on behalf of the College, Fellows and trainees with health or other portfolio Ministers on locally based issues
• advocate for and promote College-wide education policy priorities within NT with Fellows, trainees, health authorities and relevant stakeholders
• enable positive interactions and liaison points with health-related organisations and regulators to support initiatives that improve health outcomes for local communities and maintain standards of the profession for local Fellows and trainees
• seek to represent the College in the media on local issues following receipt of approval via the College’s media evaluation process
• facilitate and promote educational opportunities and deliver locally organised education forums for Fellows and trainees within NT

The Committee meets 5 to 6 times per year for 2-hour meetings, with 2 face-to-face meetings and the remainder via video conference. Members may also need to attend College ceremonies, teleconferences, webinars and locally organised education events.
