B171 Puukenga, located at Unitec Mt Albert, is a space for all staff and students and the Whare operates under a Kaupapa Māori Korowai and is situated next to the Wharekai Manaaki (Building B177). It is currently occupied by the Marae office staff as well as provides external booking, hosting events, workshops, lectures, wānanga and social events.

Rooms B171-1003 & B171-1004 were constructed in the 1990s and have weather tightness issues. The exterior cladding and roof need to be fixed to be weatherproof, along with any other building support structure or associated element. In addition to rooms 1003 & 1004, rooms in the same building complex: B171-1008, B171-1009, B171-1010, B171-1011, B171-1012 and B171-1013 will also require minor upgrades.

We need a supplier who can provide full turnkey services, from design drawing, including building consent lodgement, demolition, supplying materials, labour and installation on the approved plans. Proposals must consider all the works including schedule, planning, health & safety, and the work to be carried out with effective planning to minimise the disruption to the campus and completing the project at the earliest, but before end of the year.
