BBY - Shiploader Replacement - Design & Construction

TasPorts is carrying out a Shiploader Replacement Project at Berth 6, Port of Bell Bay, Tasmania. The project involves designing, constructing, and installing a new shiploader, along with any necessary modifications to the existing wharf facilities to support the new equipment. It also includes the provision and integration of a new SCADA system for the existing TasPorts woodchip conveyor network.

Demolition, site remediation, and disposal of redundant infrastructure will also be included within the project scope.

TasPorts intends to deliver the project under a Design and Construct contract. During the tender process, a range of proposals will be considered to ensure the selection of a cost-effective solution that meets operational, maintenance, design, and construction requirements. The objective is to achieve a final outcome that satisfies both immediate operational needs and long-term functionality.

The scope of works includes:

The design, construction, installation, and commissioning of the replacement shiploader and all associated works.

The design, installation, and commissioning of a new SCADA system for TasPorts-owned woodchip conveyors.

The decommissioning and disposal of the existing shiploader, along with any conveyor sections and equipment made redundant as part of the works.
