Garbutt Magpies Sporting and Cultural Association Incorporated ABN 44 167 719 508 - ‘Garbutt Magpies’

The Garbutt Magpies are the recipient of a Queensland Government Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport Active Community Infrastructure Grant plus AFL Queensland Grand Final Facilities Fund grant to deliver sporting facilities upgrades at their home ground at Harold Phillips Park, Garbutt, Queensland 4814.

The project involves facilities and upgrades to existing infrastructure at Harold Phillips Park to:

• refurbish an existing single storey building to provide changerooms, umpire facilities and amenities
• provide field lighting to the adjacent and recently refurbished AFL oval

A local consultant team has been engaged by Garbutt Magpies to develop construction ready documentation for the Change Room Refurbishment. Oval field lighting design is currently a concept only. Tenders are being called for the following packages:

Builders Works – Changeroom refurbishment works

Electrical Works – Field Lighting design, documentation, and installation

Tender documentation will be available from 22 April 2025 with an anticipated tender closing date 16 May 2025. Works to commence June 2025.
