Annual Sewage Wet Well Cleaning

Central Highlands Regional Council require a day rate for the annual cleaning of sewage wet wells located in the Shire. This RFT is a five (5) year term contract with renewal periods set at 1 + 2 +2 years. The inlet flow does not need to be plugged for this work, with the exception of the Blackwater wet well and this work will only be done as required (not every year).

Work will be carried out in a confined space and live sewage environment; therefore, all workers must hold the appropriate confined space entry training qualifications and be experienced and trained in safe work practices working with live sewage.

The existing sewage pumps may not be used to drain the wet well levels below the normal operating stop levels to avoid pump blockages. No by-pass pumping will be required for this work and work is to be carried out from the surface, with the exception of Blackwater.

Work is not guaranteed every year and is subject to budget approvals. Council has budget approved for FY2024-25 for approximately 15 wet well cleans.
