Tender Description
Hunter Resource Recovery is a not-for-profit, public company limited by guarantee jointly owned by four (4) Local Councils: Cessnock, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, and Singleton. As the delegate of its member Councils, HRR is inviting tenders for Receiving and Processing Kerbside Domestic Recycling Products.
The regional fit-for-purpose MRF Service provided by the new recycling processing contractor must be operational by 1 July 2028 and have the capacity to sort and process an initial 30,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of Recyclable Material. The MRF Services will be managed by a single contract.
The contract to be awarded is intended to be for fifteen (15) years, with the Principal's option to extend up to two (2) x five (5) year periods.
All enquires must be directed through online. A virtual Tender Briefing (via Teams) will be held on Thursday, 10 April, at 14:00pm (AEST).
Submissions can only be submitted via electronic tender box, the two electronic "envelope" system.
Closing Date and Time is 24 June at 17:00 pm (AEST) and all return schedules are to be submitted at this time. No late submissions will be accepted.
