The existing public toilets in Adermann Park Kingaroy are aged and require renovation to return to a modern, compliant standard. The upgrade will include consideration for use by people with disabilities.

South Burnett Regional Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified persons to upgrade the current building as per the details contained within this specification, attached detailed plans, and request for quotation document.

Scope of Work

General

• Lodge all required documentation for FELIX procurement system registration, approved Contractors Work Plan, product technical data (if applicable) and safety documentation (SWMS) prior to commencing work. All workers on site to have completed the South Burnett Regional council online safety induction.
• Book any required inspections with SBRC contact officer.
• Carry out a pre-start meeting with South Burnett Regional Council contact officer.
• The contractor must photograph, and record sections of work completed each day. Photographs and records must be furnished to the SBRC contact officer weekly
• Establish a Safe Work Area in an area agreed with SBRC contact officer. Make provision for: -
• Storage of materials
• Construction of any required scaffolding and / or appropriate edge protection.
• A work area for preparation of materials.
• Storage of waste materials prior to removal from site.
• Appropriate protection of surrounding structures and gardens

Toilet Refurbishment

• All works to generally be in accordance with the details provided on “PassivPlans” drawings numbered 25-001B page numbers 00 to 08.
• Supply and install fixtures and fittings as detailed on plans provided.
• Remaining interior brick walls to be rendered to provide a smooth surface finish.
• Grind concrete floor smooth after removal of existing tiles. Apply epoxy flake finish to entire internal floor area. Cove up all walls. Colour to be confirmed.
• Remove roof guttering and dispose.
• Remove existing downpipes and cap subsurface drains.
• New drainage and plumbing as per “Enviro Water Design” plans numbered EWD5670 sheets 1 to 5. SBRC to provide plumbing approval and pay all associated fees.
• All interior surfaces including exposed timber framing to be painted. Walls to be finished with Dulux PRECISION Anti-Graffiti Coating. Paint specification provided below.
• All external timber surfaces to be painted. Paint specification provided below.
• Extend slab as per details on plans.
• Clean site and top dress excavation trenches on completion.
• Remove all rubbish and surplus materials from site on completion. 

Painting

• All supplied paints to be Premium line brand paints approved by the South Burnett Regional council contact officer.
• All surfaces to be washed / cleaned with approved cleaning agent prior to painting.
• All holes, cracks and imperfections to surfaces to be filled and sanded smooth with a suitable product for that purpose.
• A colour selection will be made by the SBRC contact officer and provided prior to the commencement of work.
• All previously painted surfaces in good condition will be considered “primed or undercoated”.
