Tender Description
Inverell Shire Council proposes to undertake improvement works to the aprons and taxiways within Inverell Airport to cater for new refuelling systems. The works are proposed to be completed in two stages.
The commitment to stage two (2) works is dependent on the availability of funding which will be known following the tender assessment period.
Tenderers must complete and return the Tender Return Schedules plus any other supporting documentation. Please refer to tender documents includes Specification Documentation, design plans.
STAGE ONE (1) of the works shall consist of (but not limited to) the following:
i. demolishing of existing GA apron and reinstatement of an asphalt surfaced flexible pavement to new design levels
ii. milling and removal of the existing surfacing of a portion of TWY A and TWY and replacement to new design levels with an asphalt surface wearing course including asphalt correction course layers
iii. regrading of existing flanks to design levels and construction of a new swale drain
iv. construction of a new granular flexible pavement surfaced with a two-coat bituminous spray seal adjoining the GAP apron
v. set-out and installation of line marking
vi. supply topsoil and spray grass to disturbed areas
vii. airfield ground lighting (AGL) to be completed by other and not part of the works scope
viii. supply and installation of x2 100mm diameter electrical conduits to proposed aircraft refuelling facility to be built by others.
STAGE TWO (2) of the works shall consist of the following:
i. the extension piped drainage system under the proposed new GA apron
ii. reshaping of the existing ground to design levels
iii. construction of a new flexible granular base pavement GA apron with a two-coat seal.
