Since the inception of the City Safe Program in 1995, City Safe (now Community Safety and Asset Security) has become an integral component of the Toowoomba Regional Council Community Safety and Asset Security Strategy within the Property Services Branch of the Environment and Community Services Group.

Community Safety and Asset Security (CSAS) is responsible for numerous functions including:

•  Community Safety CCTV Program (City Safe);
•  Corporate CCTV monitoring, footage investigation and reporting;
•  Electronic building security (EBS) system operation and monitoring;
•  Asset security patrols and security guard services;
•  Security guard services at Council facilities and events;
•  Other functions.
