Key problem/s

ACMA and eSafety need to resolve international connectivity (mobile data and calls+text) for staff travelling. In some instances, staff are not able to connect to WiFi.

ACMA is undertaking this RFI process to understand what International SIM Cards/Roaming are currently available under the Telecommunications Marketplace. ACMA and eSafety travel to a variety of locations around the world, this financial year to date we have had 35 number of trips (in FY23/24 - 58 and in FY22/23 - 44). Each trip is for between 5 and 35 Days.

The users and their needs

Our minimum requirement is for 5GB of data per day, with call+text in that location and preferably also to Australia.

Our preference is for eSIM options rather than physical SIM but seeking information to compare both options.
