LED Lighting Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠Health New Zealand – Counties Manukau is undertaking a lighting upgrade project to contribute to enhanced healthcare services and better outcomes for our community. As part of our commitment to providing safe, efficient, and modern healthcare environments, we are embarking on a substantial luminaire replacement project across our facilities.

This procurement effort focuses on a like-for-like replacement of existing luminaires with new, energy-efficient LED alternatives. This lighting upgrade will significantly increase energy efficiency throughout the hospital, improving lighting quality while minimizing disruption to clinical operations. This initiative aligns with our policy objectives of maintaining high standards of patient care and operational excellence. We invite experienced contractors to contribute to this essential infrastructure improvement.

This project concept has already been investigated to a preliminary level, and proposals for a design and build scope are now sought from suitable parties to deliver this project.

This RFP aims to elicit responses from interested Respondents to submit a full proposal in response to this Request for Proposal (the RFP). The conclusion of the RFP will identify a Preferred Supplier for the Project with whom Health New Zealand – Counties Manukau intends to enter into a Design and Build Contract based on the conditions of the Medium Works Contract drafted by Health New Zealand.

The Client will hold a briefing session for Respondents on 9 April 2025 at 2.30 pm via MS Teams (online). The purpose of briefing sessions is to clarify the Scope of Services as detailed within this RFP.

The briefing session will be limited to 3 persons per Respondent and must be registered with the Point of Contact by the date detailed in the Indicative Timeline through the question/answer function with the following information:

• Respondent’s name

• names(s) of those attending

• contact phone number

• email address

Additional information made available at briefing sessions will be communicated via the tendering portal to those Respondents who have subscribed to this Request for Proposals Notice.
