Consultancy for Fish Passage

Project goals

This program is aiming to establish permanent fish passage at (up to) eleven (11) existing river and lake control structures plus a number of road crossings

Scope

The design stage will include initial investigation, stakeholder consultation, concept design, environmental assessment, detailed design, and preparation of a business case. The design work will be undertaken by a lead consultant who will be chosen by a selected tender process.

The lead consultant will be required to prepare the accelerated business case for permanent fishpassage at the Lake Wetherell Outlet site.

NOTE: NSW Fisheries are preparing a separate business case for the Lower Darling-Baaka and Menindee Lakes region which is not to be prepared by the lead consultant.

Pre-Tender Meeting

A pre-tender meeting will be held at Red Sands Cafe, Menindee NSW on the 9/04/2025 8:30am.

Two-Envelope System

Please submit as two separate files when you lodge your response. The files can be zipped togther to be submitted.

To lodge a response, click the RESPOND button to submit your electronic tender response. Suppliers must submit their response into the buy NSW system before 3pm on the close date. Responses can be submitted and edited multiple times until the opportunity closes, with only the most recent submission being submitted.

Once submitted, the tender opportunity will move from ‘In Progress’ to ‘Submitted’ on your Tenders dashboard. A detailed system-generated email will be sent to the registered contact for all successfully received response files, and a notification will appear on your dashboard.

Don’t miss the 3pm deadline Allow at least an hour before the tender closes to complete your submission, upload documents, and contact support if needed.

Uploading large files: The upload time depends on the supplier’s internet speed. Files are virus scanned and encrypted once uploaded. Suppliers are encouraged to upload early and wait until the upload bar completes to ensure success.
