The Biosolids Request for Information (RFI) is an information gathering process in which Hunter Water seeks feedback from the market regarding their capacity and capability to provide a service that will meet Hunter Water's requirements.

Hunter Water's seeks RFI responses that address one or more of the following objectives:

1. Technology for treating sludge at our Burwood Beach WWTW with a proposed full scale solution online by 2033 with an indication of your Technology Readiness Level (TRL);

2. Pilot scale facilities to obtain regulatory and planning approvals at our Burwood Beach WWTW;

3. Proposed solutions for any other WWTW sludge and biosolids to meet regulations and expectations of current and potential future offtake markets.

4. Proposed solutions to address Hunter Water's acceptance of tanker waste at five WWTWs comprising approximately 150,000kl/annum of liquid waste exploring alternate pathways to treatment, reuse, centralisation or other industry-led solutions.

A 30 minute Tender Briefing session will be held on Thursday, 3 April 2025 at 1pm AEDST via a Microsoft Teams Meeting.
