Project goals

The Principal is seeking to implement a new Period Contract for Provision of Horticultural Maintenance Services throughout NSW Parliament House, 6 Macquarie St, Sydney.

Scope

To provide maintenance, upkeep and periodic refreshment and renewal as required of the ground, gardens, trees, and potted plants in the NSW Parliament House precinct to an excellent standard.

The Work as covered by this Contract (WUC) includes ongoing management and supervision of the works, ordering, supply, and co-ordination of delivery of all materials (unless otherwise specified) and cost of all labour, equipment, machinery, all applications, testing, certificates, profits, overheads and making good as necessary to complete the works as detailed in the Contract Documents.

The maintenance of these garden and lawn areas shall be of a high standard at all times. All plants & turf areas shall be maintained in a healthy and vigorous growing condition. Rubbish collection shall occur regularly and any defects with the landscape shall be rectified or reported as soon as possible. The Contractor shall note that the Principal takes a very hands-on approach, and the Contractor is required to be on call 7 (seven) days a week.
