Sydney Opera House is looking to engage suitable organisations that may be invited to provide piano tuning services under the Indoor Technical Advisory Panel.

Project goals

Sydney Opera House (SOH) is a major performing arts centre that hosts more than 2,500 events every year in its seven indoor venues, foyers, and various outdoor spaces. The technical services required to stage performances at the SOH are varied, complex, challenging and constantly evolving in response to changes affecting the performing arts sector.

SOH are appointing a panel of suitably qualified and experienced technical experts and suppliers to assist in delivering performances at the Opera House.

As part of the establishment of this specific Sub-Panel for piano tuning, SOH will consider engaging more than one piano tuner. This will be part of the assessment process.

Additional details/instructions

SOHT will hold a site inspection on the following date:

11.30am Monday 31 March 2025

The site inspection will include visits to the Concert Hall, Joan Sutherland Theatre orchestra pit, Utzon Room and Piano Store.

Tenderers are strongly encouraged to attend.
