Project Information/ Background:

The construction of the water and sewer services connections (including extensions) will enable construction of up to approximately sixty five new houses in the eight remote Aboriginal communities in Western Australia.

The Department of Communities - Housing Authority is the Water Corporation 'developer', and is planning to tender and award either one or two contracts for consultancy services related to the eight Aboriginal communities, namely Bidyadanga, Jigalong, Warmun, Muludja, Mowanjum, Ngaanyatjarra Lands (Warburton and Warakurna) and Yungngora.

The Planned Request for Tender:

The consultancy services are sought from civil engineering firms, for services as follows:

(i) the design and documentation, and clarification of design intent during construction, of water and sewer connections (including extensions) in accordance with Water Corporation standards; and

(ii) contract administration services (including a Superintendent Representative role) during the construction stage.

It is crrently planned that the Request for Tender will provide the opportunity for Tenderers to submit conforming Tenders submissions for consultancy services as follows:

1. Tender A - design and documentation, and clarification of design intent during construction only; or

2. Tender B - contract administration services (including a Superintendent’s Representative role) during construction only; or

3. Tender C - that are a combination of 1. and 2. above.
