Hunter Water Corporation (HWC, termed the 'Principal') requires the pressure rehabilitation of a program wide network of both watermains and sewer rising mains that have been identified by the Principal to address deterioration and structural defects or failures that would pose a potential flood and / or environmental risk, located within challenging areas that pose a risk to the public or to Hunter Water operations.

The Works specified herein includes the supply of materials, equipment, installation, testing, commissioning, training, documentation and skilled resources as well as detailed planning, technology selection and design sufficient to undertake the trenchless rehabilitation of pressure rising mains by lining up to and including DN1200.

The scope of works generally includes:

* Inspections (CCTV) including cleaning of selected rising mains, including internal diameter verification, as determined by the Principal.

* Preparation of proposals, including detailed Work Method Statements describing the methodology for rehabilitation via lining of each rising mains, including:

- Localised or enabling repairs (if required) to rectify obstructive or structural defects beyond technology performance limits

- Installation procedure including diagram of above ground equipment and material layout/staging areas and method of maintaining access for property owners during construction.

- Drawings, calculations for the liner and installation process, sizing of thrust blocks as necessary, including step by step methodology of excavation/shoring, demolition and rehabilitation of access locations, including machinery and dewatering allowances.

- End seal requirements and product/s

- Installation schedule including pressure test of the rising mains

- Removal and replacement of any thrust blocks, valving, hydrants or pipeline appurtenances.

- Quality control during installation, refer to STS408 'Water Quality Acceptance For Water Mains' for general requirements applicable to both water and sewer main

- Testing and commissioning process and frequency (excluding disinfection)

- Bypass decommissioning and restoration process (sewer rising mains only)

- Final CCTV inspection (CIPP only)

- Warranties

- Any other work required per the product supplier's requirements

* Execution of the Works in accordance with accepted proposals and Work Method Statements including sufficient sampling and testing to verify that the rehabilitation materials and systems meet requirements.

* Temporary works such as traffic management and safety.

* Confined Space Entry management
