Tender Description
Water quality monitoring in key water catchments of the Swan Canning River system is specified as an action in the Water Quality Improvement Plans (WQIP) for the Bannister Creek, Bull Creek and Canning Plain catchments, which were developed between 2010 and 2012 by the Swan River Trust in conjunction with stakeholders, including the Department of Water, Environmental Community Groups and Local Government Authorities including the City.
The objectives of the program are:
- To acquire water quality data from Bannister Creek, Bull Creek and Canning Plain catchments for comparison with previous years' data to establish water quality trends.
- To provide the City with water quality data to inform management actions to improve water quality within the catchments, in particular in-stream structural intervention and revegetation programs.
- To provide the City with water quality data to assess the effectiveness of current and future in-stream interventions.
- To inform the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions' Drainage Nutrient Intervention Program (DNIP) site selection and prioritisation process, which is aimed at selecting sites for future structural interventions to improve water quality in the Bannister Creek, Bull Creek East and Canning Plain Catchments.

Any Respondent found to have canvassed City of Canning officers or elected members will be disqualified from the tender process.
