Guardrail Package

INTRODUCTION

Mackay Regional Council (the Principal) requires the supply and installation of safety barriers at three Separable Portions within the Mackay Regional Mackay Regional Council area, as detailed below:

(a) Site one (1) – 29 Glenella Richmond Road, Glenella – Separable Portion 1

(b) Site two (2) – Langdon Lumburra Road, Dows Creek – Separable Portion 2

(c) Site three (3) – Chain Street, Mackay – Separable Portion 3

While the Contractor may elect to commence Works concurrently across all Sites, if a sequential approach is adopted, unless otherwise directed by the Superintendent, Works must commence at Site one (1) The Principal intends to award the Contract in its entirety to a single Contractor. No division of the Scope will occur, and no Contractor will have any claim arising from the Principal’s decision to award the Contract as a whole or not at all.

NATURE OF CONTRACT

The Contract Sum will be a Schedule of Rates (re-measurable) as described in the General Conditions of Contract (refer to ‘Part 4 Contract’).

All rates and quantities are to be checked by Tenderer. Any discrepancies shall be advised to the Principal during the tender advertising process (refer to Part 2 [2.] for how to lodge questions).

TIMING

The Contract is proposed to commence on 07 April 2026, and the Separable Portions must be completed as follows:

(a) Separable Portion 1 – 29 Glenella Richmond Road, Glenella

Date of Practical Completion: 04 May 2026

(b) Separable Portion 2 – Langdon Lumburra Road, Dows Creek

Date of Practical Completion: 08 June 2026

(c) Separable Portion 3 – Chain Street, Mackay

Date of Practical Completion: 06 July 2026
