Project goals
The purpose of this project is to pilot the delivery of women’s advocacy services at Dillwynia and Silverwater Women’s Correctional Centres. The objectives include the following:
· Provide advocacy services to persons in custody
· Tailored services to the needs of persons in custody, ensuring they are trauma-informed, gender-responsive, culturally appropriate, and confidential
· Enhance awareness and accessibility of complaint mechanisms
· Develop solutions which prioritise the voices of persons in custody
· Continuous improvement and evaluation.
Scope
Advocacy services including pre-arranged and drop-in appointments to persons in custody at Dillwynia and Silverwater Women’s Correctional Centres which include, but not limited to:
· Legal advisory services, group information sessions, facilitated referral, information services and case work support from allied professionals.

1.This procurement fulfills recommendation 20 of the NSW Government (2024). Report of the Special Commission of Inquiry into offending by former Corrections Officer Wayne Astill at Dillwynia Correctional Centre.
Response requirements:
Respondents are encouraged to consider what assurances they may be required to provide to meet NSW Government agency procurement requirements, including as follows:
· Information management system capabilities
· Insurance certificates of currency.
2.There will be an Industry Briefing session open for suppliers who are interested in participating this tender. Details of briefing session will be shared after interested party executing Deed of Privacy and Confidentiality. Please access the tender document in Procurement Central for further instruction.
