The new machines should meet or exceed current equipment specifications as it is our objective to enhance productivity and print quality.

Scope

Function Specification

· print from every file or capability to convert to PDF.

· capable of printing paper weights from 60 – 350gsm stocks for all high capacity trays and a minimum of 60 – 300gsm stocks for non-standard trays – (E.g. bypass trays and trays located under the print engine).

(NOTE) - additional weight capabilities will be highly considered and preferable.

· able to support all media types – (up to SRA3 size)

· minimum capability of duplexing 350gsm from all high capacity trays for all types of media. Minimum capability of duplexing 250gsm from non-standard trays.

(NOTE) – additional duplexing capabilities will be highly considered and provide greater flexibility.

· double sheet detectors

· capable of printing on pre-cut tabs, pre-drilled stock and various size envelopes.

· have the ability to corner staple and side staple

– (minimum requirements of 100 Sheets @ 80gsm)

· have the ability to drill 2 or 4 holes for ring binders.

· capable of saddle stitching with 3-way trim and have the ability to square fold.

having a minimum requirement of creating a 180-page booklet based on 80gsm stock.
