The City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking a licensed waste facility that can receive approximately 500 tonnes of hazardous waste. CN has a project that involves excavating a road pavement along Georgetown Road, Georgetown NSW 2298. CN engaged a consultant to classify the waste for disposal. The consultant's report identified the waste for disposal as Hazardous Waste (Coal Tar > 1%).

As a result, CN is seeking a suitably qualified / EPA licensed waste disposal facility to accept the material. CN is seeking to utilise its internal resources to transport for the hazardous material and, therefore, the locality of the waste disposal facility to the site will be considered important.

The waste disposal facility will need to provide confirmation of EPA approval/licensing to accept the hazardous material.
