Tender Description
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River are seeking tenders from appropriate parties for the provision of construction works in relation to the extension of the Cape Leeuwin shared used trail.
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River (Principal) requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to construct an extension of the unofficially named Cape Leeuwin Trail (Trail), from Dead Finish to the Waterwheel carpark, Augusta.
It is strongly recommended that Contractors attend an onsite meeting which will be held at 11.00 am (AWST), Tuesday, 18 February 2025, at Dead Finish, Leeuwin Road (see below red marker). Please advise Sadie Breslin, sbreslin@amrshire.wa.gov.au by 4.00 pm, Monday, 17 February 2025 if you will be attending.
Objective of the Project
The Trail is a shared use, dual direction walk and cycle point to point trail, with the majority situated within Reserve 25141 vested with the Principal.
The contract is to build the section of the Trail that will link Flinders Bay in Augusta to the Waterwheel carpark. There are a further two separable portions included in this RFT, which subject to budget and other constraints being met may proceed.

Tenders close at 10.00am (AWST) Friday, 7 March 2025. and submissions must be fully received by this time. Shire of Augusta Margaret River is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit Shire of Augusta Margaret River staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
