Council’s strategic goal is for Toowoomba to be recognised as Australia’s premier regional city by positioning Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers (Carnival) as the leading floral and horticultural event in Australia. The Carnival is held annually around September and attracts over 365,000 visitors.
The carnival incorporates over 20 flagship events, which are hosted by council, with a further large number of community organised events.
The carnival’s reputation, longevity and attendance has made the Toowoomba Region an attractive holiday destination for national and international visitors while offering great sponsorship opportunities for companies wishing to connect with people living in or visiting the Darling Downs.
Each year the carnival brings an estimated spending impact of $25M to the region from a program focussed across a four (4) weekend period. This influx of revenue to the Toowoomba economy is not only brought in by visitors and offerors who deliver the many aspects of carnival, but also by local residents who venture out enjoying what the city and region has to offer with relatives and friends.
The carnival is seeking a comprehensive online event ticketing system to provide a platform for online ticketing services for a diverse range of events for a three (3) year period
