Tender Description
At Tawa College there are sports fields on a separate elevated site isolated from the main campus. In recent storm/heavy rainfall events there has been partial collapse of an adjoining embankment where the hill face has partially collapsed.
The adjacent residential properties are situated on a higher platform with the boundary very steep. There are signs of active soil creep and land failure.
The proposed design solution to prevent further erosion and ground sliding is the introduction of an anchored retaining mesh supportive fabric cover with the installation of a face matting finished with an application of hydroseeded vegetation.
