Central Coast Council, Water and Sewer is responsible for approximately 325 sewage pumping stations (SPSs), 8 sewage treatment plants (STPs) and the associated sewer infrastructure spanning the Central Coast Local Government Area (LGA), spanning from Gwandalan in the North to Mooney Mooney in the South.

Council has a regulated responsibility to ensure that SPSs and STPs are competently operated and maintained to prevent environmental pollution incidences.

This contract will assist in maintaining all SPSs to a satisfactory level, increase pump asset life, reduce reactive costs and prevent SPS and network overflows.

This will subsequently reduce Council's risk exposure to regulatory action due to environmental and public health hazard incidents.

The contractor will provide capacity and enable Council to perform the planned cleaning of SPSs. The contractor will also be required for emergency works, to clear blockages, clean up after sewage spillages and prevent or reduce sewer overflows during pump failures.
