Project goals
Manly Hydraulics Laboratory (MHL) manages large hydrometric (river, rainfall, ocean and wave) monitoring networks across NSW for; DCCEEW, WaterNSW, many NSW councils, and a number of private agencies, and has done so for 40 years. Market demand for MHL services has significantly increased in response to record 2020-21-22 eastern Australian floods, and increased community expectations for access to near real-time data and improved management of flood hazards.
MHL is establishing a procurement panel of selected suppliers for the majority of its hydrometric needs for the next 5 years (3 years and two twelve months extension options). The panel will provide hydrometric instrumentation, housings, services and consumables.
Is expected that the panel will provide a streamlined approach to purchasing hydrometric goods and services for suppliers and NSW Government buyers.
Scope
MHL requires goods and services to install and maintain hydrometric monitoring stations. Suppliers may nominate for one or more panels depending on what instrumentation, equipment, services and materials they have to offer. Suppliers to be sourced to carry out the following service categories, with each comprising several fields of specialisation.
