This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
Banana Shire Council is a day labour Council with between 300-400 Staff spanning a large land mass area. Council is currently looking for the following scope of works to be completed:
• Occupational Hygiene Services for Health Risk Assessment (HRA) and recommended sampling/ campaigns to determine the suitability of existing controls.
This work will assist in determining the level of risk for workers performing work with dusts and other hazardous substances, noise, zoonoses and other biologicals (for vaccine preventable illnesses) and possibly psychosocial impacts (job demand and design). This information allows for the conducting of health monitoring/ surveillance and training in line with legislative requirements. Council has begun collecting the workplace characterisation information from supervisors across the organisation to develop Similar Exposure Groups (SEGs), which should expedite the process.
• Health Monitoring/ Health Surveillance
This will be guided by the results of the HRA above (especially in the case of vaccinations) but will include a number of items that are requirements under WHS Legislation eg: for Asbestos, RCS and Audiometry.
• Vaccinations & Serology
This will be guided by the results of the HRA above and requirements in recruitment for certain roles.
