If your child is under five years old and not enrolled in school, you can apply for learn to swim vouchers in the Northern Territory (NT).

This is called the Learn to Swim Voucher Program.

Your child can receive two $100 Learn to Swim vouchers each year, one in January and one in July.

Your child must be registered for the water safety awareness program run by the Royal Life Saving Society before you apply for the vouchers.

How to apply

Follow these steps to get and use a learn to swim voucher.

Step 1. Read the Learn to Swim Scheme Policy 2022-23 (see below)

Step 2. Register for the water safety awareness program on the Royal Life Saving NT website.

Step 3. Apply for a learn to swim voucher on the GrantsNT website.

Step 4. Find a registered swim activity provider from View registered providers below.

Step 5. Book lessons with the registered swim activity provider using your learn to swim voucher.
