Mid-West Ports Authority (MWPA) is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations and/or other interested parties to lease and develop within a key strategic area within the Port of Geraldton’s Special Use Zone for activities supporting the existing and future Port cargo operations and to support increased economic activity in the Mid-West region.

The sites are located in close proximity to the Port’s operating berths and infrastructure. The area is currently comprised of a mix of active and dormant bulk liquid facilities (fuel) and vacant lands previously used for fuel storage and handling.

The objective of the EOI is to identify interested parties and to determine the optimal long-term lessee(s) for the site with a view to:

• allowing development of the land for the provision of efficient and effective bulk liquids storage and handling services

• supporting bulk liquid export and/or import supply chains by improving connections to the MWPA common user port infrastructure

• supporting the provision of services to exporters and/or importers using the Port of Geraldton; and

• support and generate economic activity for the Mid West hinterland, including activities within the Perth Basin region and surrounds.

MWPA is inviting interest in the following parcels:

• Site 1 – a 2.81-hectare site (comprised of Lots 2505, 1464, 1143 and 1218);

• Site 2 – a 1.09-hectare site (Lot 1721)

• The sites have previously been used for bulk liquid storage.
