The scope of this procurement is to implement a revised Fishery Independent Survey (FIS) Program, which has two main components:

1. Selection and installation of new underwater survey sites
2. Abalone abundance surveying of both new and existing underwater sites delivered over two years.

This procurement requires technical underwater work to be undertaken by experienced commercial divers.

Over the next two years, this procurement sets out to establish 89 new ‘fixed transect’ survey sites within designated areas

Works are required to be undertaken in the Southern Ocean environment, often in remote locations between Warrnambool and Mallacoota.
