South Metropolitan Health Service Multicultural Action Plan

⁠⁠⁠South Metropolitan Health Service requires the provision of an external consultant to produce the SMHS Multicultural Action Plan (MCAP) 2025-2029. The consultant will:

• Gather, analyse, and document information to support the identification of the culturally and linguistically diverse members of the SMHS community including staff and consumers.
• Identify and co-ordinate the recruitment of relevant staff, consumer and community network representatives that should be engaged to participate in the development of the SMHS MCAP.
• Plan, facilitate and evaluate engagement workshops and activities with stakeholders including staff members, community networks and organisations and consumers.
• Develop the SMHS MCAP aligned with the WA Multicultural Policy Framework and informed by stakeholder engagement activities that will include the following essential elements:

-Goals

-Actions

-Deliverables and proposed outcomes

-Responsibilities

-Timeframes

-Monitoring and evaluation framework to measure the impact of the SMHS MCAP to include specific metrics for each priority area to assess progress.

• Create a plan for the communication of ongoing project information, launch, implementation, and promotion of the SMHS MCAP.
