The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P), part of the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) is embarking on a critical ICT modernisation initiative aimed at replacing outdated legacy systems/tools for managing fire, pest, and incident operations. Current systems/tools lack the capability to meet the demands for real-time data integration, operational efficiency, and scalability.
This modernisation initiative aims to secure integrated, cloud-native solutions for operational mapping, field data collection, and incident management systems. These enhancements are essential for QPWS&P to effectively manage expansive and diverse landscapes, particularly in addressing environmental threats such as wildfires, pest outbreaks, and climate change.
