The Department of Primary Industries (DPI), Queensland is seeking quotations for the supply and delivery of three fully registered, heavy duty, custom built off-road dual axle trailers to be constructed and supplied by 31 May 2025.

The trailers will be towed by 4WD and will be mainly used for transporting side by side utility vehicles and quad bikes to work sites, and also for travelling through National Parks and State Forests.

The trailers must be versatile and have the ability to be used for shifting building materials e.g. gravel, and/or a variety of equipment.

The trailers must be of heavy duty construction, and must be capable of being used on constructed road surfaces, as well as being able to cope with a high level of use in off-road situations, including encountering some difficult off-road surfaces and terrain.

The trailers will be used predominantly on the following types of surfaces and terrain:

• Bitumen roads,

• Gravel roads

• Haul roads that can contain deep levels of bulldust, and

• Bush roads that have limited used and can be rutted or contain washouts.

• There will also be times when roads will be wet and additional ground surfaces will come into play.

The trailers must be durable and resistant to wear and tear, thus reducing the need for frequent replacements and repairs.

These trailers will predominantly be used in rural areas that have limited towns and population, and limited, or no vehicle or equipment repairers.
