Council is seeking to engage an experienced Civil Design Consultant as Principal Consultant to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team to carry out a design development for the Caloundra Aerodrome Precinct – Pathfinder Drive, Caloundra.
The Principal Consultant role includes providing all civil design services for the project, together with responsibility for the engagement and management of all sub-consultants/disciplines. A full design team is expected to be engaged as required to complete the design works. This must include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Building Certification and Approval
• Town Planner
• Structural Engineer / Geotechnical Engineer
• Civil Engineer
• Electrical Engineer (including PMT and network infrastructure advice)
• Airport lighting consultant
• Airport security consultant
• Airport Security fencing consultant
• Fire Services Engineer
• Sewer network engineer
• Stormwater and overland flow
• Hydraulic Engineer
• Traffic Engineer
• Energy Efficiency consultant
• Quantity Surveyor / Cost Planning Consultant
• Cultural heritage assessment
• Landscape Design
• Hazardous Substances (PFAS etc) (Land Parcel 1 & 2 on SP312324 Environment Management Register Lists fuel storage and potential PFAS)
• Transport and Main Roads approvals if required.
This is a lump sum contract. Council considers the contract value range is between $500,000 - $600,000 (excluding GST).
An anticipated commencement of works in March 2025 and a preferred completion by mid-August 2025, with Consultants who have earlier availability to complete the works will be looked upon favourably.
