Carterton District Council

A signature walking and cycling trail is planned as part of the Wairarapa Five Town Trail Network. A key component of that trail will be construction of a bridge to enable cyclists and walkers to cross the Waiohine

river. It will link the Carterton portion of Five Town Network with the existing Greytown trail and bridge signature trail.

The design development, which is the subject of this procurement, forms Stage 1 of the project. The Stage 2 construction of the Waiohine Bridge and trail to Carterton will be undertaken in future; and is the responsibility

of the Carterton District Council.
