Council, in partnership with mana whenua partner Maraetaha Incorporated and forestry stakeholders, are undertaking an ecological restoration of the Waingake, formerly known as Pamoa Forest, catchment which involves the conversion of 71% of land use away from commercial forestry and into native vegetation to improve biodiversity, create employment, and protect Gisborne's water supply catchments and infrastructure.

Council has completed approximately 70% of the planting programme and requires plant supply to complete the remainder.

This RFP relates to the purchase of goods and services required for the supply of indigenous mixed plants across approximately 470ha of land at Waingake.
