The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is seeking tender responses from qualified contractors for to submit proposals improve access & safety for park users along the Mulgowan Artsite

Project goals

The primary purpose of the project is to improve access and safety for park users along the Mulgowan Artsite walking track by addressing issues associated with a non-compliant viewing platform and minor repairs to the walking track. A secondary purpose of the project is to improve access for mobility restricted elders and members of the Gundabooka Joint Management Committee through formalising a current use easy access walking track to the Mulgowan Artsite

Scope

The works include the construction of the Mulgowan Artsite viewing platforms and barrier structure including.

Note: National Parks will be solely responsible for any/all line items that have (NPWS) indicated adjacent to the description. The tenderer is not required to submit prices for these items.

1. Preliminaries and documentation:
2. Site Establishment: (NPWS)
3. Demolition of existing platform and art site barrier and preparation for removal by heli-lift: (NPWS)
4. Site Set Out and provision of shop drawings:
5. Concrete pad construction:
6. Steel Fabrication (off site):
7. Application of relevant finishes (paint, etc.) to all components and materials (off site):
8. Installation of viewing platforms/decks and art site barrier:
9. Rockwork installation on viewing platforms/decks:
10. Minor track works – transitions between viewing platforms/decks and walking tracks:
11. Site Remediation and Demobilisation:
12. Site re-opening – Temporary fence removal, art site cover removal, etc: (NPWS)

2. MANDATORY Pre-tender Meeting

A MANDATORY pre-tender meeting will be held on the date, at the time and at the place nominated in the tender advertisement or invitation.

The Contact Person will be available at that time to answer any tenderer’s queries regarding the RFT.

Date/Time: Thursday, 7th November 2024 at 10AM

Attendance by tenderers at the pre-tender meeting is mandatory. Tenders submitted by tenderers who fail to attend will be passed over.

Tenderers are requested to confirm, via email to the Principal’s Contact Person, that they will attend the pre-tender meeting at least 3 (three) Business Days prior to the nominated date.
