Compliance Data Management Framework and Strategic Implementation Plan and Roadmap

The effective governance and management of compliance data within the Benefits Integrity Division (BID) is essential to the division’s core compliance activities and outcomes. The EDAP and GMC Projects currently underway will enhance the management of data and deliver access to user-driven insights and analytics tools. These and previous projects have been ad hoc and have not been coordinated within a unified data management framework.

A Compliance Data Management Framework is required to define how data is managed, governed and utilised within the Division and will provide a foundation for the development of future applications and tools.

To ensure a best practice approach, a specialist data consultant is required to develop the framework and implementation roadmap for the division’s compliance data functions. This framework will ensure compliance data management guidelines, data access controls and policies and procedures are in place and provide a foundation for strengthening data literacy, data governance and future data management.

Requirements

Development of a Compliance Data Management Framework to define how data is managed, governed and utilised within the Division that will provide a foundation for the development of future applications and tools, and a strategic implementation plan with actionable roadmap to realise the proposed future state.

Expected engagement activities include:

• Engagement with executive leadership to understand vision and strategic intent
• Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to understand the current data management landscape
• Identification of opportunities for quick wins to deliver immediate value
• Review recent technology and data management projects to inform proposed data management framework.

Outcomes will include:

Development of a Compliance Data Management Framework to ensure effective governance, usability of compliance data, guidelines for divisional data management activities and document a strategic vision for the future

Creation of an actionable Strategic Implementation Plan and Roadmap that outlines the activities required to implement the Framework including resourcing, prospective tools, indicative costs, and outputs required to deliver the objectives.
