Identify and provide a catalogue of the biodiversity values across the LGA;
Define Council’s role in biodiversity conservation in the context of other government strategic conservation planning, legislation and private land conservation;
Summarise conservation priorities for the Penrith LGA in a way that provides a context for decision-making and strategic planning;
Identify opportunity to connect with Country and foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities to ensure sustainable and resilient outcomes;
Improve the way Council considers and assesses development and development potential of land; and
Identify measurable targets and specific actions for Council through a list of potential projects with cost estimates that could be implemented by Council in the future or could be used for grant funding applications. These targets should explore nature positive targets.
