Tender Description
Council's libraries currently utilised RFID equipment to manage loans, returns, and stocktake. Council is seeking new RFID equipment for Libraries which must include suitable RFID returns shelves, and ongoing maintenance and support. A preferred go-live date of no later than 30 April is preferred. Equipment is to be supplied and installed in Bundaberg, Gin Gin, Childers, and Woodgate Beach, Queensland (postcodes 4670, 4671 and 4660).
Background information / Compatibility requirements
Bundaberg Regional Council operates four library branches and serves a regional population of approximately 102,000 people. All library branches currently utilise Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to manage collection use including self-loans, self-returns, and stocktake. Council is seeking offers to replace RIFD Equipment which is compatible with the library’s existing RFID tags (Current tags are compliant with ISO 18000-3 mode 1 and ISO 15693 air interface protocols. The SLi-1 and SLi-2 chips can store data in the industry standard ISO 28560 format. Additionally, they include a 50-year or 100,000 read-write data retention guarantee). Equipment must also be compatible with the Civica Spydus Library Management System.
